New branding for a hair studio in Mt. Pleasant, SC

Jeny Tyler Creative is pleased to announce the new branding for JMK Studio. The key words that owner Jacqueline Kicklighter wanted to evoke were, "Elegant, Southern, Soft, Cozy and Beautiful." This was a tall order for such a small logo, but I immediately thought about Marilyn Monroe probably in part to Ms. Kicklighter's studio decor and Marilyn's ability to be strong and beautiful.

The imagery is simple, but I took some liberty with the colors and fonts. We went with a beautiful blush pink and used inspiration from the font Jenna Sue. I love the new look and can't wait to see it painted on her wall! If you're ever in the Charleston, SC area do yourself a favor and make an appointment with JMK Studio. CHARLESTON, SC, March 28 – Jeny Tyler Creative was contracted to brand, a website designed to educate others about the growing diaper gap and provide diapers to families struggling in Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. The non-profit is run by Jackie Weisman, a Maryland native.

“Jeny Tyler Creative was an obvious choice for branding,” says Weisman. “I needed something very quickly with a modern, upbeat feel. I knew Tyler would produce something unique and I wasn’t disappointed.”

The mission of is to help close the diaper gap for low income families who are otherwise left to reuse dirty diapers or leave them on for extended periods of time. This leads to mental and physical issues not only for the child, but for the parents as well. 12 For 1 hosts a diaper drive every June to provide outreach programs with diapers. This year will be the third annual diaper drive. For more information, visit

Second Love Yacht Charters - a new website for a luxury charter

I would be totally fine if this client paid me with a free week, but that starts at 35K!! Alas, it was a true pleasure to work on Second Love's website. This was a unique experience because all yacht charters have to go through a broker. So the website just serves at a way to meet the crew and drool over the pictures of the yacht and services offered aboard.

This was designed on a Wordpress platform using a bootstrap theme. I did some custom CSS and made use of font awesome icons. This site is a one page responsive theme.

Announcing Velocity Data Systems - Part I

When the guys from Velocity Data Systems (VDS) approached me about designing the brand for their new tech start-up I was excited. They DID NOT want to use typical technology colors. One of the partners wanted to use a cool pastel palette and while I loved that idea, it just wouldn't translate into a strong image, so I mixed together a couple color palettes and we worked together to find just the right mix of atypical and bold! I loved their adventurous spirit. These guys hit the ground running so we didn't have time for website development, but I can't wait to make their home on the web just as bold. What do you think of the colors?

What can I do for your company? I will start accepting new clients on a first come - first serve bases in mid October, I am booked until then (yay!) Send me a request for information or just say hi!  Stay tuned for some behind the scenes action in an upcoming blog post!

Announcing Tracy Clifford Consulting

I was very pleased when Tracy of Tracy Clifford Consulting asked me to develop her brand and website. We tossed around names and had a couple of brainstorm sessions until we settled on the fact that her name WAS her brand. Tracy is a dedicated, passionate, no nonsense CPA, MBA. She is sought after for her expertise in all things CFO, Accounting and Strategic Planning. She's comfortable working with companies listed on the NASDAQ (once rang the bell at the NASDAQ) to local small businesses. After spending nearly 16 years as a Financial Officer for a publicly traded company, she decided that it was time to give back. Tracy Clifford
Consulting hopes to assist companies that don't have an in house high level financial team to help them bridge the financial gap with flexible resources.

I loved working on this project with Tracy and learned many new skills as I coded a responsive Wordpress website for her. I loved this opportunity to work outside the box on developing a financial website with pizazz!

I am actively seeking new clients for branding, illustration, and website projects. Please drop me a line and let me know what you are looking for. I would love to work with you!
